Nights RN for OB Unit

Location

Position available for nights in an unspecified location.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with every third weekend required for days and three weekend shifts in a four-week period. Night shift weekends consist of Friday and Saturday.

Job Description

The OB unit is seeking a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The unit has 14 beds, with 5 designated for triage/inpatient care, 6 labor beds, and 2 OR beds. Nurses will scrub in for C-sections and handle high-risk obstetric patients, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform full assessments and manage patient care in the OB unit.
Scrub for C-sections and assist with high-risk obstetric patients.
Utilize dual charting systems (Meditech and GE) for patient records.
Coordinate care and maintain safety protocols during labor and delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

BSN required.
Current certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS (AHA).
Strong experience in high-risk obstetrics and fast-paced environments.
