Job Description

The Neuro Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in neurosurgery, trauma, and related specialties, supporting a range of surgical procedures and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of neurosurgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and universal protocols.
• Monitor and manage patient responses during surgeries.
• Perform patient positioning and wound management.
• Participate in emergency management situations when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room with a focus on neurosurgery.
• Required certification: BLS.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is necessary.
• Preferred experience in Level I trauma centers.
• Completion of neurosurgical procedures including craniotomy, VP shunt insertion, and lumbar fusion preferred.
