Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced Emergency Department with 34 beds, primarily serving neonates to geriatrics. The average patient volume is about 100 visits per day, and the department is equipped to handle a variety of medical conditions. The nurse will be responsible for high-quality patient care, performing triage, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams and respiratory services.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients across various age groups
• Monitor vital signs and manage cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias
• Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and emergency medications
• Perform triage and manage patient flow within the department
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in treating mental and behavioral health conditions
• Assist with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Maintain and manage IV therapy, including central lines and blood products

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required
• Preferred community hospital experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH Stroke Certifications
• Experience using Epic and Pyxis systems
• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
