Schedule

This position requires availability for a part-time schedule, with the ability to begin on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift orientation. The shift consists of 2 days of 8-hour shifts one week and 3 days of 8-hour shifts the following week. Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to assigned residents within a long-term care facility. The RN will adhere to established policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and will maintain collaborative relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assess data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions.
• Communicate findings with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans involving residents and families.
• Evaluate outcomes and recommend revisions to care plans when necessary.
• Participate in the mentorship and orientation of new staff.
• Maintain competency in nursing practices through continuing education programs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care (LTC) facility.
