Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

The RN will facilitate admission, treatment, transfer, and care of patients in a 42-bed Medicine Acute Care unit. Patients include those with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, GI bleed, and diabetes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and manage drips in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and manage central/peripheral lines.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret telemetry readings.
• Facilitate effective communication among interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and wound care protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and CPI.
• Must have experience with EPIC charting.
