Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED), which manages over 100,000 visits annually and stands as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. As the region's only Level I trauma hospital, our ED is responsible for treating a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses. The focus for this role will be on the care of med/surg boarder patients within the ED, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 supported by assistive personnel. No prior ED experience is required for applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the medical team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN License
• 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Tele experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
