Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients based on assessments.
• Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of such practices in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required.
• Required Licensure: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS.
• Preferred Education: BSN.
