Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Nightshift Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This new position has arisen due to the retirement of two staff members, leading to an increase in vacancies and the opening of a third Surgical ICU as well as additional IMC units. As an RRT, you will play a vital role in providing respiratory care to patients across various departments including NICU, PICU, acute care pediatrics, and emergency departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy assessments and care to patients in acute and critical care settings.
- Monitor patient status and adjust treatments as necessary in collaboration with the medical team.
- Utilize various equipment including Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, and more.
- Participate in code blue situations as required.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in the EMR (EPIC).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital environment.
- Certified RRT with active licensure.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred, and NRP for NICU.
- Experience in NICU/PICU and acute care pediatrics as well as adult acute and critical care.
