Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CVICU/CVRU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is within a 19-bed mixed unit that operates with a high standard of care, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity. The unit provides heart surgery care for approximately 850 patients annually and includes a robust support system with experienced charge nurses and an educator for comprehensive orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative cardiac patients.
• Utilize advanced cardiac technologies, including IABP, Impella, LVADS, and ECMO.
• Perform critical care duties such as hemodynamic monitoring and patient ambulation.
• Assist in procedures including intubation, extubation, and chest tube management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU or CVRU.
• Critical care training is required.
• Preferred certifications in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care.
