Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PACU RN with previous experience to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a high-pressure environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, the capability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively, and the ability to recognize safety issues and implement appropriate measures.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
- Implement safe practices in patient handling using lifts and other equipment.
- Function well under stress and apply problem-solving skills.
- Provide quality patient care in a PACU setting.
- Assume duties as a charge nurse when required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current New York State RN license.
- Previous PACU experience required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum one year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills are necessary.
