This is a 16 to 32-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour day shift with a minimum of every other weekend. The schedule will be adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care.

Job Description

The Travel RN will be assigned to the M5/McClure 5 Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care while adhering to the unit's specific requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the neurosurgical and surgical unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar unit is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Large teaching facility experience is mandatory.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is necessary prior to start.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
