Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs, identifying patient needs, and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients.
- Initiate assessments based on the patient’s problems, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of strong ICU/CCU experience is required, with Neuro ICU experience a must.
- Bedside MS and Tele experience in a major acute care trauma center for at least 1 year is preferred.
- RN must float to any unit within their skill set as requested.
- Required Education: ASN, BSN preferred.
- Required Certifications: BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, NIHSS, Telemetry.
- Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required.
