3x12 Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, weekdays, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in West Virginia. As a Psychiatric RN, you will work with adult patients who are experiencing various mental health disorders, delivering compassionate care and support while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patients' responses.
• Implement treatment plans and document patient progress.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure adherence to seclusion protocols and physical hold protocols as necessary.
• Engage in therapeutic communication and support for patients with various psychiatric disorders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a preference for charge experience.
• Current RN License in West Virginia or a compact state (pending licenses are acceptable).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid (CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation).
• Experience with psychiatric patient care and knowledge of mental health disorders.
