Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and engaged Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit. The unit offers a total of 34 beds with the capacity for 43 patients and specializes in stroke and neuro care. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, providing high-quality care to patients on a general medical-surgical floor.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and report any changes.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Assist in implementing individualized care plans for patients.
Maintain accurate medical records using the Meditech EMR system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
BLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
Experience in a medical-surgical unit or with stroke/neuro patients is highly desirable.
