Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations, ACLS certified, and knowledgeable in advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics.
• Effectively use A-lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols.
• Manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen-dependent patients.
• Handle a patient load of 3 high acuity patients on average.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience required.
• Large scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience preferred.
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.
