Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Step Down Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience with typical step-down type patients, including those who are post-myocardial infarction and postoperative vascular patients, as well as managing conditions such as GI bleed and DKA.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patient care within the step-down unit.
Titrate medications such as Nitroglycerin, Neo, and Cardene.
Read telemetry strips to assess patient status.
Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Experience in a step-down or similar acute care setting.
Ability to work with bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPap) and continuous positive airway pressure (Cpap) equipment.
Ideal candidates will have experience with titratable drips.
