Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Trauma Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM to 7:30 AM, with shifts scheduled for every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our Medical/Surgical/Trauma Unit. The unit provides high-level care in a fast-paced environment that specializes in complex trauma cases, including brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as other surgical interventions. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:3, supported by clinical associates for optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients with various medical/surgical needs.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring.
Administer medications and manage IV drip titrations such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
Assist with advanced respiratory care including BiPAP and chronic ventilation management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Strong assessment skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
