Description

CVICU Travel Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts from 19:30 to 08:00. Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU nurse with a background in open heart care. This position will involve working with post-operative cardiac surgery patients and may require floating within the specialty to sister units and lower acuity as needed. Candidates must have extensive experience of at least 2 years in CVICU or open heart.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care for patients in a CVICU setting.
Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of CVICU or open heart experience.
ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
Charge experience is preferred.
Must hold an active MD or Compact License at the time of submission.
Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and assess dysrhythmias.
