Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in psychiatric care to join our team. In this role, you will work across multiple units, providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients dealing with psychiatric conditions, chemical dependency, and dual diagnosis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong patient assessment skills, effective communication with family and external organizations, and a commitment to treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a psychiatric healthcare setting.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Assist in family motivation and treatment planning.
• Communicate effectively with external review organizations.
• Maintain accurate records using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered RN license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Flexible hours and overtime may be required.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility is preferred.
• Experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and geriatric patients is advantageous.
