Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Nurse to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing skills and be prepared to manage various patient needs within the medical surgical unit.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Provide support to patients and their families, educating them on care processes and recovery plans.
Assist in the coordination of patient care, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Engage in necessary floating within the hospital as per management needs and skillset.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

New York State Nursing License.
Minimum of 2 years acute hospital nursing experience.
Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
Skills in managing and accessing ports, IV maintenance, wound care, and patient education.
