Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The nurse will identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities also involve developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate assessment based on patient problems, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manage care of patients and document care based on standards of care and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule

This position is for night shift nursing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3+ years of Mother-Baby experience required, with experience caring for newborns.
• Required Education: ASN; Preferred Education: BSN.
• Required Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) and NRP.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
