Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Technician demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and consistently producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality. This role involves working cooperatively with all department members to resolve problems expediently while maintaining a commitment to patient rights and care.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist the Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrate competence and proficiency in the operation of all equipment and report malfunctions to management.
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist others during downtime.
• Ensure medication security is maintained by authorized personnel only.
• Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good phone etiquette when handling inquiries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience required
• NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start)
• VIR Certification preferred
