Schedule

5x8 hour shifts with room for negotiation for maximum of 4-10 hour shifts. There is no rotating shift schedule with 2-3 call shifts per month and at least 1 holiday assignment.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong technical skills for producing high-quality radiologic images and performing various duties to support the Interventional Radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images.
• Administer oral contrast as needed for exams.
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, assisting the Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems.
• Complete assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with clerical duties and stocking as needed.
• Maintain medication security and demonstrate competency in health care services across all age groups.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in a relevant role.
• Active Technician License in New York.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience in Neurosurgery or Neuroscience is required.
• AART certification is required; VIR certification is a plus.
