Job Description

We are seeking a Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have neurology and medical-surgical telemetry experience and be part of a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center. You will primarily care for neuro-related patients but may also support other patient populations as a telemetry overflow unit.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in a telemetry environment.
Manage patients with neurological diagnoses, seizures, and stroke.
Perform basic EKG testing and vital monitoring.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate rapid response as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2 years of Neurology and Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
NIH Stroke Scale certification.
Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
