Part Time (2x12s) - day or night shift, scheduled as needed, with every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode.

Responsibilities

• Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.
• Assesses patient/family needs and creates an individualized plan of care.
• Promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of the patient.
• Teaches patients and families to continue care/healing at home.
• Documents education provided and patient/family responses.
• Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Develops helping, caring relationships with patients and families.
• Demonstrates skill in medication administration and other interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• Minimum of one year experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse is required.
