This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Full Time 3x12 day shift (7a-730p) with holidays and every other weekend required. 2 On-Call shifts are also required.
Job Description
The RN will be cross-trained for multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and critical care experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS, all obtained through the American Heart Association or the RQI system during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care certification must be completed within 6 months of hire, and CPI certification must be acquired within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients across multiple units: ICU, ER, Med/Surg.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.
- Assess and interpret patient data to identify requirements based on age-specific needs.
- Enhance teamwork through effective role modeling and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in MedSurg, Tele, or Critical Care units.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or RQI), NIHSS.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
