Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday rotation as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. This role involves caring for patients in need of telemetry monitoring while providing comprehensive nursing assessments and delivering high-quality patient care. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients' health status
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Coordinate patient care with healthcare team members
Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year clinical experience required
Minimum of 1 year experience in specialty (Telemetry/Medical Surgical) required
AHA BLS certification is mandatory
CMSRN certification is preferred
NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to starting
Current New York RN license or proof of application required
