This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide telemetry and step-down level care for adults and geriatric patients. They will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, administration of oxygen, and IV therapy.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient vital signs and manage cardiac drips (no titration).
Administer blood products, perform central and peripheral line care, and ensure isolation precautions are observed.
Participate in rapid response/code team situations and utilize advanced telemetry skills.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Active New York Single State RN license required.
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
Minimum one year of experience in PCU/DOU/IMC or telemetry nursing.
Proficient in EPIC charting system.
