Schedule

Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Floating between units is required, and block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, and Respiratory issues. The nurse will be responsible for using specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. The unit accommodates patients aged 18 and older, with a total of 64 beds, including 15 designated for Neuro care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for IMCU/PCU patients, including monitoring vitals and administering medications.
• Utilize specialty medical equipment as required for patient treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU nursing.
• Active New York RN license and all relevant licenses.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 2 recent professional references from IMCU Charge/Manager RNs.
• EMR experience with EPIC.
• Driver's license with an address matching demographics.
