Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide direct patient care services with a specific emphasis on pulmonary function testing and the initiation of CPAP devices. The role includes supporting requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers, assisting in training on the use of inhalers, and setting up patients with DME equipment. The RRT will collaborate closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function testing and initiate CPAP as needed.
• Support requests for durable medical equipment supplies.
• Assist in the training of patients on inhaler usage.
• Set up DME equipment for patients.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RRT certification required.
• One year of hospital or physician office experience required.
• Computer literacy required.
• New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (RCP) required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
