Job Description

Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scopes and standards of practice. Responsibilities include performing plan of care interventions, administering medications, collecting specimens, and documenting patient care given. You will monitor and communicate patient conditions, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Assist patients in daily living activities.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide education.
• Work as an advocate for patient physical and emotional well-being.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
