Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiologic imaging services in the Interventional Radiology department, assisting in a variety of neurosurgical and neuroscience procedures. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning, and producing diagnostic-quality radiologic images.
• Work collaboratively with department members to resolve any issues expediently.
• Administer oral contrast as required for exams.
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist the Radiologist during procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions to management.
• Complete assigned procedures timely and utilize downtime effectively for department tasks.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of medication management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two years of experience in a related field
• Radiologic Technologist License in New York
• Experience in Neurosurgery/Neuroscience is required
• AART certification is required
• Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) certification is a plus
