Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will possess required certifications and experience in handling a diverse patient population, specializing in high-acuity cases. This role involves managing patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring safe administration of medications, and providing support for patients with respiratory and cardiac issues.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and titrate insulin drips as needed.
• Provide continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) and manage feeding tubes.
• Conduct pre/post-hemodialysis management and administer blood products.
• Care and management of central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
• Manage ventilated patients and perform non-invasive airway management.
• Activate rapid response team when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a similar role.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• New York State nursing license required.
