Job Description

The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adults with complex cardiac conditions and those requiring close monitoring. The RN will manage a varied patient population, administering medications and treatments, and performing various procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions while providing critical care support.
• Administer IV medications, including cardiac and insulin drips.
• Perform EKGs and manage post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to implement patient's care plans.
• Prepare and assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Progressive Care or Telemetry unit.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Active RN license in New York required at the time of submission.
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years is necessary.
