Critical Care and Emergency Department Respiratory Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

The position requires a Respiratory Therapist with experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings. This role involves handling critical patient cases and requires specialized skills using various respiratory equipment and therapies.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage respiratory equipment such as Hamilton G5, PB 980, and Respironics V60.
Administer treatments for conditions including ARDS, pneumonia, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
Perform bronchoscopies, intubation assists, and tracheostomy care.
Conduct patient evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department required.
Must possess state license, RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Familiarity with specific respiratory conditions and treatments, including high-frequency oscillators and ECMO.
Previous charge experience preferred.
