Job Description

The Emergency Department registered nurse will provide care to patients ranging from newborns to geriatric individuals in a busy emergency department setting. The facility operates with a capacity of 10-14 beds and has a structured staff that includes RNs and ED techs. Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations are utilized to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform triage and assessments using the ESI triage scale.
Manage IV insertion, drips, infusions, and EKGs.
Provide procedural sedation and apply restraints as necessary.
Transport patients when required, potentially using ambulance services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the emergency department.
Must have charge nurse experience.
Experience with Epic EMR from within the last 2 years is required.
Certifications including AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, TNCC, NRP, and NIHSS are required.
