Job Description

This position is for a highly experienced Registered Nurse to work in an LGBTQ+ affirming inpatient treatment environment. The Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide complex nursing care for patients with co-occurring psychiatric disorders. The role demands a commitment to fostering healing in a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring high-quality interventions, and supporting recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to address the individual and group needs of patients.
• Provide clinical supervision of Mental Health Workers to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care.
• Float to other units and take charge shifts as required.
• Engage in the development and maintenance of patients' sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months.
• Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health, with age groups clearly listed on the resume.
• Active Vermont or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification from the American Health Association.
• Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment.
• Psych skills checklist from within the last year.
