This position requires working 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekends and holiday rotations expected.

Job Description

The Orthopedic Telemetry RN will provide comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic conditions, including total joint replacements, fractures, and post-operative care. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care on an orthopedic telemetry unit with a typical ratio of 1:5-6.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in the unit's orientation and training programs.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including safety protocols and infection control standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have strong orthopedic experience, particularly with total joint replacements.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must possess a valid nursing license.
