Job Description

The Nurse Leader Consultant is responsible for managing clinical and other activities in the assigned unit(s). This includes overseeing the implementation of the philosophy, goals, and standards of the Department of Nursing. The role involves formulating and monitoring capital, personnel, and operating budgets, directing staffing and scheduling of personnel, supervising employees in the delivery of care, and planning and coordinating orientation and educational needs of the staff. The Nurse Leader Consultant also maintains good working relationships with other disciplines and promotes positive public relations as a representative of the Nursing Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient Adolescent (14-17 year old) Psych experience required.
• De-escalation training/certification required; can attend SAFE Training Course onsite if needed.
• BLS required.
• Will float to Geriatric and Adult Behavioral Health units as needed.
