Behavioral Health RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30); requires every other weekend availability.

Job Description

The Behavioral Health RN will provide nursing care to patients with various mental health conditions during the assigned night shift. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Conduct assessments for patients with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and other behavioral health conditions.
Utilize crisis intervention techniques and manage aggressive behavior when necessary.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records through the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have a valid New York RN license in hand.
At least 1 year of experience in a behavioral health nursing role.
Experience with EPIC charting is a hard requirement.
Previous charge experience preferred.
