Full-Time RN First Assist - Operating Room

Location

Phoenixville, PA

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; on-call rotation required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Operating Room setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong perioperative nursing skills and be prepared to assist in surgical procedures as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Monitor patient vitals and provide immediate care as needed during surgeries.
Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
Engage in ongoing education related to perioperative practice and first-assist competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license.
First Assist Certification.
BLS certification.
Minimum of 24 months of perioperative registered nursing experience.
Preferably, experience with robotics.
CNOR or CRNFA certification is preferred.
Commitment to ongoing continuing education in perioperative practice.
