Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in emergency care and pediatric nursing. You will be responsible for assessing patients with common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit features 64 beds and services a diverse patient demographic, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Quickly assess and triage patients based on their medical needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Floating to other units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of emergency department experience, with some pediatric experience preferred.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Active New York RN license and clear NURSYS report for license verification.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
• Charge or managerial experience is highly preferred.
