12-hour night shifts. Every other weekend and potential holiday rotation may be required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Adolescent Psych CPEP unit, addressing patients with severe mental illnesses and behavioral issues. The role includes working with both adult and child/adolescent patients. RNs are expected to manage patient care effectively, demonstrate de-escalation skills, and maintain a calm environment for patients in crisis.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' mental health and emotional needs.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and manage behavioral crises effectively.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• One of the following certifications is also required before starting: Handle with Care; TRUST Training; CPI; PMCS; or MOAB.
• Prefer candidates with prior medical experience in settings such as MS, MS-Tele, PCU, or ICU.
