This position is based in New York.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shifts: 6:30am / 7:30am-15:30 / 16:30 (4-day x 9hr/day contracts) with full call rotation.
Call rotation includes up to 8 days of call per month, which consists of one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday. Response time is 1 hour for Endo RN. No weekends or holidays except for call duties.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Endo RN develops specialized skills in providing care to adults, adolescents, and geriatric populations with medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop a collaborative plan of care.
- Provide direct care and evaluate patient progress throughout their episode of care.
- Coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families to support self-care beyond hospitalization.
- Promote a Healing Environment by providing emotional support and comfort.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- NYS RN Licensure
- One (1) year experience serving in an Endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications.
