3x12 Hour Shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays with up to 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Float Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential care in various units, including ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg, based on patient volume needs. Candidates must exhibit flexibility in floating between units and be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Float between ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg units.
• Manage patient care with a typical ratio of 1:5-6, varying by patient acuity.
• Participate in rapid response team activations and manage non-invasive airway protocols.
• Provide quality patient-centered care following established protocols and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of registered nursing experience required; 2 years travel experience preferred.
• Active North Carolina or Multistate RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required.
• Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records is necessary.
