Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting a focused commitment to patient and employee safety. This role is dedicated to providing superior care and achieving optimal patient outcomes through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care based on identified healthcare needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and promote a safe working environment.
• Monitor supplies and maintain cost-effective care while promoting quality outcomes.
• Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift
• ACLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift (for CIRH ONLY)
• Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience is highly desired

Schedule

This position operates on a day shift schedule, consisting of three 12-hour shifts.
