Job Description

We are seeking a MedSurg/Tele RN with a New York nursing license to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This position requires proficiency in EPIC charting and entails caring for patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, and post MI as well as administering cardiac pharmacological interventions. The unit specializes in hematology and oncology, with an anticipated development of a bone marrow transplant program.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient oncology and hematology setting.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7, ensuring exceptional care and monitoring.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage associated side effects in patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and support quality care.
• Cross-train in MICU for enhanced patient service delivery as the BMT program develops.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• New York nursing license is required and must be in hand to submit.
• Chemo Certification, ACLS, and BLS are mandatory.
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and administering chemotherapy is essential.
