Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients with diverse medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, as well as the use of rapid response teams. The nurse will be supported by Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) who will handle vital signs and other daily activities, allowing nurses to focus on critical patient care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize rapid response and code teams effectively
• Provide peripheral line care and management
• Administer oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a similar role
• BLS Certification required
• NIHSS Certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• New York State RN license required
