Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, advanced clinical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU, focusing on telemetry and stepdown-level care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and administer cardiac drips without titration.
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy while adhering to isolation precautions.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral line care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (NY is not Compact).
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar setting is preferred.
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement.
