Schedule
This position follows a day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekend availability is required as needed, and candidates must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for.
Job Description
The EP Lab & Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume invasive cardiology unit. The lab conducts a wide variety of cardiac procedures, catering to diverse patient needs, and plays a crucial role in delivering advanced cardiovascular treatments.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre and post-procedural care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor and manage patients in recovery, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiac procedures.
- Administer medications and IVs as per protocols.
- Maintain sterile techniques and safety protocols within the lab.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
- Experience using the EPIC charting system is heavily preferred.
- Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients as necessary.
